So, what the heck is all this?

This is my "photoblog" or "photographic web log". I dislike the word "blog"... Nothing important or life changing here. Just a site running off my broken screen A20 Toshiba laptop which I don't have the heart to garbage it. This laptop is currently running as an Ubuntu server. Most time when it broke is because of the dns side and not on Ubuntu. Since I also partly run a dns server on this machine in order to self host this website, at time my internet provider will change the ip address of my internet connection and it will take 2 to 3 days to replicate through the internet. So if you can't connect to this domain it just means that either my pipe cannot connection all the people trying to get to my domain or the ip address need to replicate. If you are able to logon you will see that this is a place where I will primarily throw pictures I amateurishly snapped with my new cheap Cannon XSi. If you happened to stumble on this site...go ahead and kill time here for what it's worth. Like this slow site...great...and if not then I don't care:-P Please leave comments if you react to the photos...negative or positive...all are welcome so go ahead and show that you're not just a tree:-) Now fly along......

4/19/11 - It has been almost 2 years since I have run my own webserver and started hosting tightpixel.com from my broken A20 Toshiba laptop. It's still running like a champ with a single core 2.66GHZ Pentium 4, limited ram, along with a bigger faster laptop harddrive which was swapped in less then a year ago. But as of today, this website were successful migrated to another box. I thought it would be a pain but I guess I have hit all the right notes as far as moving this site but tying the hardwares together is another story. This box were scrapped together from parts as the result of home desktop upgrade. Left over parts include: Asus M2PVN-MV mobo, AMD duo core 2.6GHZ, 1TB Samsung 7200rpm harddrive, OCZ 600Watts Power Supply, and packaged together with a Lian Li metal low profiled square black box. It's running Ubuntu 10.10 server edition. This renewed box is running quite fast and have the ability to host many domains. The A20 Toshiba box is like an old reliable friend which will relegate to as an UAT sandbox, FTP server and email server. Ok enough with the geeky talk...now all I have to do is to be inspired enough to take more photos or should I say inspired enough to convert taken photos and upload them:-)
